Anyone remember playing with these beauties. I don't know how old they are but I'd guess at 1940's or so. Turkey feathers
- bootifull !

How many of you remember playing with darts like these. Should be quite a few as these darts were still being used everywhere
up until about 30 years ago. I've actually used this set myself in our league.

Nice to see how the old craftsmen used to improvise and make their own cases back in the days when it wasn't so easy
to buy them.

The
Burtonwood Cup
This was a
1001 team knockout competition. It was a best out of three legs competition with all nine players within a team playing
in each leg.
Each member
of the winning team were presented with a trophy. This trophy was presented to Bryn Jones in 1962-63 while playing for
the Glyntwrog in Llanrug.

Who said spring-loaded darts were a modern invention? These little beauties have spring loaded flights and must be at
least 40 years old.

Think you've got it tough throwing from seven feet nine and a quarter inches? Just have a look at the back of this case
where it provides instructions for playing darts. Back then they used to throw from nine feet!

Here's another favourite of mine. Not that old but in fantastic order. I've also used this set playing in our 2004 season.

Again some of you may remeber playing with similar darts. These darts and box are in very good order compared to some
I've got.

Yes you've guessed it. I used this set during our second season. Good quality darts in a good condition box. the only
problem with this set was the thrower - mind you I do seem to remember out team winning the season for four years running.

Remember when you used to buy your feather flights in little boxes similar to this one. Much more expensive but oh so
classy!
